Lazy neighbors turn trash day into trash week. Trash day in our community is Tuesday morning. My weekly ritual is to take the trash to the curb on Monday night (circa midnight) and promptly return the trash can on Tuesday once I get home from work. This should be standard for any home. Leaving trashcans outside your house, at the curb or anywhere in sight makes everything look dumpy. TODAY'S FRIDAY.....TAKE YOUR TRASHCAN BACK TO THE GARAGE!!!!! Am I asking too much? Is this too harsh? What are your thoughts?
You're right. When you live in a nice neighborhood that's one of the few things that a person should be able to do to keep things looking nice. It's just as bad as people who leave all kinds of kids toys and car parts in the front of their house so everyone on the street can see it. It is just sheer laziness.

ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right. We all know the houses that have kids...no need to leave that garbage outside for everyone to see (or steal). That's what I'm going to start doing. Sneak around at night and take everyone's trash bins, toys and just anything in sight that is a common nuisance.
